What was the situation before the Telestack machine?
Before the acquisition of the Telestack machines the company was using an extensive fleet of excavators, bulldozers and shovels to dig and fill the trench for the pipeline. As the project was running 24 hours a day, this meant that the fuel needed to keep the machines running was becoming too much. Also, the labour involved in running these machines was at a larger scale and was not efficient.
What is the situation now?
Since the acquisition of the two customized Telestack machines the application has had drastic changes. The CF 1130 Charger Hopper Stockpilier is feed by one excavator in the trench, which then stockpiles the sand parallel to the pipeline. Using the tracks installed in the machine allows it move parallel to the trench with ease. The TS 1032 Trench Filler is used to fill the material back into the trench. The material that was stockpiled parallel to the trench is fed into a screener on site, which feeds the TS 1032 Trench Filler. The trench filler uses its radial and telescopic features to fill in around the inserted pipe within the trench to ensure it is secure.
