Prior to installing the Telestack solution, the operation entailed loading rigid trucks with the grabs to transfer the material a reasonably short distance to the storage warehouse. This was both labour intensive and incurred high operating costs as well as creating dust emissions.The main aim of investing in this equipment were to increase unloading rates, reduce operational costs, utilize the full potential of the storage area by increasing buffer stockpile capacities and reduce dust emissions compared to the previous method of importing.
